The THORIUM mobile terminal unit (MTU) is compliant with the NOAA “Enhanced Mobile Terminal Unit” (EMTU) requirements. It is to be used along with the Keyboard 79 data terminal equipment (DTE) and the junction box. |

Junction box
The Thorium Kit contains cabling and the Junction Box (J-Box). These connect the Thorium and to the data terminal equipment (DTE), and the complete assembly to vessel power.
The J-Box is equipped with an assistance button. It can be activated to alert parties ashore of a situation aboard the vessel requiring assistance.

A broad range of data and display terminals are available, from the simplest to the most complete onboard equipment. Our equipment is easy to interface with your onboard scale.
Keyboard 79 (K79)

The DTE is mounted in the wheelhouse (where possible). It includes the computer, screen, and keyboard. With the DTE Users are able to enter data, complete electronic forms (e-Forms), and view & create e-mail messages.

This DTE is compliant with NOAA/NMFS requirements when used with the Thorium and the Junction Box. These components come together as a complete package, and are also available from CLS America through our network of installers throughout North America. |

Sea Data Collector (SDC)
Rugged, waterproof touch screen PC, with connections to GPS, wheelhouse PC, Thorium satellite terminal or any other satellite communication terminal (Inmarsat, GSM mobile…). Optional label printer available. Trip sales estimates, onboard management or fish tanks mapping. Skipper diary with historical records, zone management. Transmits catch data for a minimal daily fee. On shore, fleet manager can display all catch data including e-logbook.
